Dharamshala: The Women’s Empowerment Desk, CTA in collaboration with Central Tibetan Women Association (TWA) observed the international campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence from November 25th- December 10th, 2021 with the theme “Orange the World: End Violence Against Women”.

During these 16 Days WED was able to work with grassroots organisations in the community, college and schools to carry out different activities such as workshops, film screening, awareness talk, webinar, theatrical performance and dance, wall painting, art, essay, poem, and drawing competition. The aim of these activities were to raise awareness on gender-based violence in the Tibetan community and to create a space to converse, dialogue, to understand and work together towards prevention of gender-based violence in the Tibetan community.
