Delegation of Central Tibetan Administration delivered flood Relief Fund to Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh

Wednesday 20th Dec: With the arrival of the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukku in Dharamsala for the winter legislative assembly session, a delegation from the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) led by the Secretary of the Home Department Mr. Palden Dhondup had a courtesy meeting with the honorable minister and presented the cheque of INR 11,53,807.28 as a donation towards the State Government’s ongoing effort in the restoration of damages caused by the heavy monsoon rains which has left the picturesque State of Himachal Pradesh in ruins.

Mr. Dhondup specified that the donation was contributed voluntarily from the staffs of Central Tibetan Administration and the CTA underscoring the solidarity with the State and the people of Himachal Pradesh during the time of such exigence in the region that has witnessed the extensive destruction of roads, bridges, and houses, as well as the disruption of essential services such as electricity, water, and telecommunications.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dhondup also pleaded with the honorable Minister for his Administration’s continued assistance towards the Central Tibetan Administration as well as the Tibetan communities located across the State. Mr. Dhondup was accompanied by the Additional Secretary of the Home Department, CTA Mr. Tenzin Norbu, the Tibetan Settlement officer, Dharamsala Mr. Kunchok Migmar, and CTRC’s consultant Ar. Amardeep.
