Tibetan student bags gold medal for highest academic rank from Mangalore University

Dharamshala: The Department of Education, CTA extends its heartiest congratulations to Ms Tashi Lhamo who was awarded the Gold Medal and a cash price for the highest academic rank in the 38th convocation held on 27 February 2020, from Mangalore University.

Tashi completed M.A (Acharya) in Buddhist Philosophy from CIHTS, Varanasi in May 2017. In July 2019, she graduated with Master of Library and Information Science from Mangalore University.

DoE congratulates her and her family for the remarkable achievement and would urge other youngsters to take inspiration from her and aim for excellence.

Tashi said, “I would like to thank all the Donors and DoE for their generous donations and support over the last two years, without which it was impossible for me to achieve this.”

Tashi hails from Kollegal Tibetan settlement. She is working at Shantarakshita Library of the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Varanasi.
