Tibet Support Groups in India Celebrate 86th Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

New Delhi: His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama revered around the globe as the messenger of peace, love and compassion turned 86 on Tuesday, 6th July 2021. The auspicious occasion of the 86th birth anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was celebrated around the world by his followers, friends, and well wishers. Joining the Tibetans and others, Tibet Support Groups in India, despite the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic, also celebrated the auspicious occasion by organizing various programs and activities in different parts of the country celebrating the life and message of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

On the eve of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday, Bharat Tibbat Samanvay Sangh organized a Webinar themed “His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama: A Divine Soul of Love, Peace and Compassion”. The Guest Speakers during the Webinar were Prof. Geshe Ngawang Samten, Vice Chancellor, Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath (Varanasi); Shri Padam Singh ji, Kshetriya Prachar Pramukh, RSS; Prof. Harikesh Singh, Ex Vice Chancellor, Jayaprakash Narayan University, Bihar; Dr. (Smt.) Rashmi Tyagi Rawat, Eminent Educationist and Motivator, Uttarakhand; and Mr. Tenzin Jorden, Deputy Coordinator, India Tibet Coordination Office, Delhi.

Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) under the guidance of Shri Indresh Kumar (Senior Leader, RSS and Patron, BTSM) organized a Facebook Live Webinar celebrating the 86th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 6th July 2021. Ven. Dr. Pornchai Palawadhammo, President, World Alliance of Buddhist, Thailand; Dr. Madhu Krishan, Eminent Scientist, Global Leader of Peace, USA and Ven. Acharya Kinley Gyaltsen Khenpo, Bhutan were the Chief Guests whereas Smt. Gyari  Dolma, Former Home Minister, Central Tibetan Adminiistration; Shri Harjeet Singh Grewal, Working President, BTSM; Shri Pankaj Goyal, National General Secretary – BTSM (also program head) and Shri Vijay Sharma, National Secretary – BTSM (also program convener) were the Distinguished Guests during the Webinar.

The Regional Chapters of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch in Bihar, Meerut, Assam, Delhi and Arunachal Pradesh also celebrated the birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

India Tibet Friendship Society (ITFS) through its Regional Chapters celebrated the occasion in different parts of India. It organized programs in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Ahmedabad, Surat, Mehsana, Palanpur and Dahod (Gujarat), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Bhandara (Maharashtra), Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur (Bihar) and Mysore (Karnataka).

Free Tibet: Voice from Assam, a Tibet Activists Group in Assam organized a Facebook Live Session in a meaningful celebration dedicated to “The Great 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, a constant hope for humanity.” Shri Bipul Deuri, Assamese Writer; Smt. Novanita Sharma, Tibet Activist and Shri Soumyadeep Datta, Regional Convener, Core Group for Tibetan Cause – India were the speakers during the session.

In West Bengal, His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday was celebrated at Kolkata led by Adv. (Smt.) Ruby Mukherjee, Regional Convener, Core Group for Tibetan Cause – India, and at Salugura, a program was organized by Shri Sonam Lhundup Lama, National Secretary, Himalayan Committee for Action on Tibet (HIMCAT).

Samta Sainik Dal (SSD) led by its National Chief Organizer, Marshal Sunil Sariputta celebrated the 86th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at SSD Central Office in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Antarrashtriya Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Samiti (ABTSS) celebrated the occasion in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Bharat Tibbat Samvad Manch (BTSM) celebrated the 86th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as “Vishwa Shanti aur Sankalp Diwas” in various parts of India. It organzied programs at Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. It also celebrated the occasion in Tanzania led by BTSM International President Shri Pittala Satyanarayana.

Tibet Support Groups in India celebrating the 86th birth anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama offered their well wishes to His Holiness and prayed for his long and healthy life to guide us all towards the path of love, peace, compassion and non violence. At the same time, with the flame of Tibbat Mukti Sadhana burning gloriously, they prayed for the freedom and justice for Tibet, and the earliest return of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and Tibetans back to Tibet.
