Jigme Tsering assumes the charge as the new Representative of Office of Tibet, South America

BRAZIL: Jigme Tsering, former secretary of Public Service Commission took over the charge as the new Representative of Office of Tibet, South America during a brief handover-takeover ceremony held yesterday.

The outgoing Representative Tsewang Phuntso welcomed and submitted his position to the new Representative Jigme Tsering in the presence of witness Representative Ngodup Tsering of the Washington Office.

Mr. Jigme Tsering was born in Ladakh, India in 1967 and formerly served as Secretary at Public Service Commission, CTA. He was first appointed as the Joint Secretary at the Department of Information and International Relations in the year 2005 and in the year 2012 he was promoted to Additional Secretary and Director of Tibet TV at DIIR.

Later in the year 2016, he presided as the acting secretary of the Public Service and Election Commission. Following which in 2017 till now, Jigme Tsering was promoted to Secretary of Public Service and Election Commission.
