Dharamshala: Under the guidance of the CTA Task Force for COVID-19, response measures are in full swing in Herbertpur Tibetan settlement and cluster communities of Lakhanwala, Khera camp, Haripur, Selakui, and Balluwala.
A committee of 21 volunteers has been conducting sanitization drive across the settlement every Tuesday.
To ensure the utmost safety of the community, the SO has been working in strict accordance with the Central, State, District guidelines as well as of the CTA COVID-19 task force in following the necessary health protocols at the community quarantine centre.
The Settlement Office has also assisted the local health workers with the procurement of protective equipment and distributed face maks to the public. As guided by the Task Force, 118 Tibetans above the age of 65 were provided with the SORIG immune boosters.
Under the Kashag’s initiative to help distressed individuals affected by the lockdown, the SO has facilitated 8 such distressed individuals in the communities across Herberpur in receiving emergency relief support of Rs 5000 each.
