Office of Tibet London to organize virtual panel discussion: ‘Tibet and Hong Kong’ A spotlight on broken promises of China

London: The Office of Tibet, London will be hosting a live panel discussion on Title: ‘Tibet and Hong Kong’ A spotlight on broken promises of China on Monday, 20th July 2020 to bring the Tibet case in tandem to current predicaments of Hong Kong.

The speakers include President (Sikyong) of the Central Tibetan Administration, Dr. Lobsang Sangay, Tom Tugendhat MP, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee UK, Tim Loughton MP and Co-chair of All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet and Professor Kerry Brown, Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King’s College, London. The time duration of virtual event is 1 hr and 30 minutes. Each speaker will speak for 10-12 minutes on the topic as below:

First speaker: Dr. Lobsang Sangay: Tibet and Hong Kong on the similarities of the broken promises of the Chinese regime.

Second speaker: Tom Tugendhat: Current UK position on challenges from China.

Third speaker: Rt. Tim Loughton: Tibet (Reciprocal Access Bill)

Fourth speaker: Professor Kerry Brown: Current China’s Policy and reaction from the International community.

Mr. Sonam Tsering Frasi, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for Northern Europe, Baltic States and Poland will moderate the live event.
