Secretary Palden Dhondup and Delegates of Home Department Assess Proper Utilisation of Land Leased to Tibetans in Hunsur

Hunsur: Secretary Palden Dhondup accompanied by Joint Secretary Tenzin Kunsang of the CTA Home Department arrived in the Hunsur settlement on Friday, 2 June for a two-day assessment visit.

During these two days, the Secretary and the team visited monastic institutions, and farming project sites under the supervision of the Home Department and led meetings with the public including settlement leaders and a committee of land and housing estate.
The team exclusively visited farmers engaged in the cultivation of dragon fruits to ensure the land leased by the government of Karnataka for the rehabilitation and livelihood of Tibetan people is purposely and efficiently utilised.
