Puruwala New Settlement Office Construction Project Update

Puruwala New Settlement Office Construction Project aims to address the poor condition of the existing Tibetan settlement office, including water leakage issues during the monsoon season, which have been detrimental to the health of the office staff and the overall functioning of the office. The project has been approved in the budget proposal of the 2023-24 financial year, with funding provided by TAWS (Tibetan Administrative Welfare Society) and a total project cost of INR 39,43,238.

According to the project agreement between TAWS, represented by the Puruwala Tibetan Settlement Office, and the contractor, the construction project is expected to be completed in all respects within a period of 11 months, by 31st March 2024. The project has been divided into phases, and currently, the construction work is progressing in the second phase. As per the agreement, a total of INR 20,00,000 has been released till now to the contractor for the project.
