PROJECT DESCRIPTION & PROGRESS:

Due to improper construction, the bridge faced issues during peak monsoon seasons, as rising water levels weakened its structure, making it difficult to cross the paths safely. That’s why construction project of the Miao Camp 2 Footpath Bridge was approved in the budget proposal for the 2023-2024 financial year. Commencing on the 14th of September, 2023, the project was completed on the 13th of January, 2024, under the supervision of Miao TSO, along with timely site visits by the camp leader.

To mitigate future risks, the bridge’s level was elevated to prevent contact with high water levels, and retaining wall was constructed to prevent erosion. This proactive approach aimed to safeguard the newly constructed bridge from potential hazards in the future. The project was entrusted to the contractor Mr. Suleman Sekh.
