Ladakh: Mr. Dhondup Tashi, Chief Representative Officer (CRO), Sonamling Tibetan Settlement inaugurated the newly constructed Community Hall of camp no 06 at Agling on 6 December, 2023. The President of Local Tibetan Assembly of Ladakh Mr. Dhondup Tsering & the project committee of CRO office attended the inauguration ceremony.
The project has been funded by TAWS through the Department of Home, CTA by sanctioning Rs, 14,32,888 and the remaining 50% is from the public contribution.
The inauguration ceremony began with introductory remarks by Mr. Dhondup Tashi, CRO Ladakh, where he highlighted on the present Kashag’s initiatives and sanctioning this project on urgent grounds, also appreciated the public for the 50% contribution towards this project.
On behalf of the Sonamling Camp no 6 people, the CRO extended his sincere gratitude to the Honorable Sikyong and the Department of Home, CTA for funding the Camp no 06 Community Hall project. This newly constructed community hall has much significance towards the multi- purpose use, such as religious, public gathering, education & health etc.
Finally, the group leader Mrs. Sonam Chokey in her closing remarks, extended the vote of thanks and offered white scarf to the project committee members for working on this project and for completing the project on time. The Camp no. 06 has total beneficiary of 465 people with 92 household.
