The Sataun LTA Hall Renovation Project was undertaken to address the deteriorating state of the existing doors and windows, which had been leading to leakage of water during heavy rainfall. These leaks were causing extensive damage to the building’s walls and the properties housed within the hall.

The renovation project was included and approved in the budget proposal for the fiscal year 2023-24. The proposal, based on the renovation plan presented by the concerned settlement office, received funding from the Central Tibetan Relief Committee (CTRC). The total project cost was INR 139,800.

The renovation project commenced on May 3, 2023 and was concluded within the stipulated period of 3 months as per the terms mentioned in the project agreement signed between the Sataun Tibetan Settlement Office and the contractor.
