Kalimpong Tibetan contributes over 2.3 lakhs to West Bengal emergency relief fund

Kalimpong, West Bengal: The Tibetan community in Kalimpong, West Bengal today donated a sum of Rs 2,31,000 towards West Bengal emergency relief fund to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.

Settlement officer Ms. Tenzing Dhadon who was accompanied by Mr. Lobsang Khedup (President of U-Tsang Kyiduk), Mrs. Chungdak (President of Do-Mey Kyiduk) and Mr. Phurbu Tsering (Office Secretary) met with Smt. R. Vimala (IAS), DM, Kalimpong, and the latter was presented an official letter appreciating the tireless effort of the authorities in curbing the pandemic.

In addition to the above donation, Monastic Institutions under Kalimpong Tibetan Settlement Office has also contributed to CM emergency relief fund as follow:
1) Sakya Tsechen Thinley Dhargyeling Monastery, Kalimpong contributed Rs 50,000
2) Segyued Monastery, Salugara, Kalimpong donated Rs. 1,50,000 through the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Siliguri
3) Ugen Mindrol Samtenling Monastery, Lava, Kalimpong donated Rs 3,00,000 through Kalimpong II, Video Office, Algarah
