Tibetans in Gangtok contribute Rs 7.8 lakh to Sikkim Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

Gangtok: On behalf of The Tibetan community in Gangtok, Mingyur Youdon, Tibetan Settlement Officer, Gangtok and Jinpa Phuntsok, Vice-chairman, Local Tibetan Assembly presented Rs. 7,78,791 cheque to Hon. Chief Minister Shri. Prem Singh Tamang towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to show solidarity, love and oneness in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Mithues, Kyiduk Nyerpas and especially Tibetan youth volunteers called the Tibet Fight COVID-19 group had assisted Settlement office in reaching out to people amidst nationwide lockdown for which the SO appreciated their support.

The contribution amount includes Rs. 50,000 from Guru Kubum Taklung Sangchoe Monastery, Deorali, Rs. 5,000 from Sog Yungdrungling and Rs. 10,100 from Dromo Kagon Tsechokling Monastery, Chandmari and Rs. 7,13,691.00 from Tibetan people residing in Gangtok.
