Tibetan Association Welfare Society, TAWS, CTA Dharamshala has sanctioned

INR 4, 70,650 for the Renovation of LTA Hall for LTA members and Tibetan Settlers in FY 2024-25.

 

The Project work has been awarded to Mr. Shatrudhan Das, Contractor residing at Sataun, Tehsil Paonta Sahib District Sirmour, and Himachal Pradesh on 4th April 2022 for undertaking Construction of Staff Quarter Roof Tin Sheet Project. The Contractor undertakes to carry out construction of Staff Quarter Roof Tin Sheet work as described and specified in the Mutual Agreement dated 2th May 2024 and shall complete the entire job on or before 31st July 2024 at the rate approved by the Owner i.e. Rs. 4, 70,650/- (Four Lakh Seventy Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Only) abiding to the terms and conditions.

Before Construction

During Construction

In mid May 2024, the project was work started with 4-5 labours. Firstly they remove all the old plaster from outer and inside of the building. Materials were also brought After removing all the old plaster and they started applying new Plaster inside and outside of the Hall in start of June,2024. Due to moonson hinderences, applying plaster has to extend in mid of June,2024.

End of June,2024  the work of white wash inside and outside of the hall and tiles of the ground and wall were fitted.

After the Renovation

In the month of July,2024 all the painting work of inside and outside were completed. On the rooftop we applied water proofing paint so that wall of the hall won’t ruin by damp during moonson season.

The Local Tibetan Assembly Members and Tibet Settlers are really grateful for extending the financial support for Renovating LTA Hall like new at Gapa Tibetan Settlement Tillordhar, Kamrao. It will be now directly benefiting for LTA meetings and other official gatherings.

As this Settlement is located in isolated, remote and hilly area during monsoon season this place is covered with fog for almost 2 months from (July-August) which effects the building structure due to high humidity. So this project really tackles the moisture and raining problems by applying damp proof on the roof and making well drainage for the smooth flow of the raining water from the outside of the building without effecting the building structure.
