REPORT ON CMRF SETTLEMENT LOAN COMMITTEE (SLC)

ORIENTATION PROGRMAMME

A two-day Settlement Loan Committee (SLC) orientation program was held from 20-21st June, 2024 at Sonamling Tibetan settlement, Leh -Ladakh funded by USAID through Tibet fund. The orientation program was conducted by trainer Mr. Kailash and Mr. Vivek as a resource person along with the Tibet fund program manager Ms. Dawa Palmo. The said orientation program was attended by SLC members comprising of the Chief representative Officer (CRO), Project Officer, Social mobilizers, Self-help Group Representatives including Accountant of three camps namely camp no 3 ,7 and 10.

The orientation program commenced by introduction and expectation sharing of participants followed with Community Managed Revolving Fund (CMRF) program objectives. During the two -day orientation program covers and highlighted on the topics such as Sharing and Learning (community outreach, Inflow /outflow of members, savings Loan and revolving loans, structure, component and role of settlement loan committee, RL announcement and appraisal and CMRF repayment default guideline etc.

This orientation program serves as a follow up to the Induction program which took place at Nepal attended by Project officer and social mobilisers.

The program concluded on 21st June, 2024 followed with Q/A session. The sessions were very informative and insightful to all participants.
