Shimla Tibetan community donates over 1.5 lakh to CM’s Covid-19 solidarity response fund

Shimla: Tibetan community in Shimla today called on Honorable Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur to present donation amount of Rs 153,500 as a token of contribution and support to the state government’s ongoing efforts in curbing the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Representative, Tenzin Norbu who was accompanied by member of Local Tibetan Assembly and the president of Tibetan Freedom movement, Shimla met the Chief Minister at his residence earlier this morning. Along with the cheque, the Chief Representative presented a letter expressing concern over the present pandemic and their gratitude and solidarity towards the people of India and Himachal Pradesh in particular.

The Chief Minister, Shri. Jai Ram Thakur expressed his appreciation and regards to all the Tibetans for their support through cash and kind during this hard time.
