Introduction:
The settlement is situated at a height of 2700-3000 meters above the sea level. The temperature in summer ranges between 22-37 degree Celsius and in winter the temperature goes down to 12-15 degree Celsius.

In terms of the population in the settlement, there are around 772 numbers of Tibetans in Gyalsa and about 1767 Tibetans in pakshing which makes for a total of 2539 Tibetans in total.
