Bhutan Tibetan Settlement

Bhutan Tibetan Settlement Office looks after the administration and welfare of the seven different settlements under its jurisdiction. During the initial setup of the settlement, Bhutan government granted the 40 to 50 acres of land which was distributed among the Tibetan refugee families with the land legally registered on the name of the head of the family.

  3. Khasakha Kunga Rabtenling Tibetan Settlement was established on 02, March 1967 and it is located at the 20 km from the capital city Thimbu of Bhutan.   4. Kalsangling Tibetan settlement is established on 1971. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood to the settlers.
