Miao Choephelling Settlement distributes dry rations worth 2 lakh to local villages

Miao: In solidarity with India to fight against the deadly COVID-19, Choephelling Tibetan Settlement, Miao under the banner of Task Force Group COVID-19 distributed dry rations worth Rs 223,680 to the nearby local villagers of Miao.

Amid nationwide lockdown, dry rations and food items were distributed to the poor local families around Miao of whom most are daily wage earners. Dry rations were distributed to the 359 poor local families of eight villages nearby Miao. To bring ration at every needy household, the task force group had to cross over rivers as one of the villages, the Bed-camp village, was located across the river.

The donation for dry ration has been initiated and raised by a group of individuals whose collective effort helped to generate a good fund and most of its contribution came from people residing in United States, Canada and European Countries who hails from this settlement.

Shri. Kamlung Mosang, Hon’ble Minister of Government of Arunachal Pradesh on his official Facebook page earlier acknowledged and praised CTS (Choephelling Tibetan Settlement) for donating INR 1,54,051 towards Chief Ministers Relief Fund and INR 50,000 towards Miao Additional Deputy Commissioners Relief Fund and this time also he praised the settlement people for coming forward in distributing rations to the needy families.
