Home Secretary, Mr. Palden Dhondup, inaugurated the new Settlement Office today, on December 8, 2023, at 10:30 AM in Puruwala Settlement. Guests present included former Finance Minister, Mr. Karma Yeshi la, former Settlement Officer, Mr. Donkhang Wangyal la, settlement officers and staff of Paonta Cholsum, Sataun and Kamrao, Mr. Gendun Rinchen la, former Secretary of Mussoorie Homes, and DoH Joint Secretary, Ms. Tashi Dekyi la. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, he addressed the general public. Funding for the New Settlement Office was provided by Central Tibetan Administration through the Department of Home (CTRC). Monks from Sakya Magon Thuptenling Monastery consecrated the newly built office at 8:30 AM, before the inauguration.
