Tibetan Settlement Offices under the jurisdiction of Department of Home, CTA have undertaken the requisite precautionary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 and have made provision of various facilities within the settlements.

• The Tibetan Settlement Officers in the settlements throughout India, Nepal and Bhutan under the guidance of Department of Home, CTA have taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people in their settlement by carrying out the various preventive measures like sanitizing the settlement, distribution of masks and hand sanitizers to the people in the settlement. All the people staying within the settlement have been directed to maintain social distancing and to not engage in any sort of gathering by the Settlement Officer through loudspeakers and notices put up on the public notice board.
• To show support and solidarity with the efforts taken by the Indian Government, the Tibetan Settlements all over have made whatever possible finacial contributions towards the Covid-19 Chief Minister relief fund to help fight the growth of the pandemic.
• Distribution of essential food items like pulses, flour, rice, milk and oil etc to the needy Tibetan and local Indian families alike as well as to the daily wagers who are currently unemployed due to the pandemic.
• The Tibetan Settlement Officers have listed out the designated hospitals and testing centres within the state so that the people can easily go to the testing centres in case they show any sign of the Covid-19 symptoms.
