Tenzin Norbu, Additional Secretary of the Department of Home, CTA officially visited Kollegal Dhondenling Tibetan settlement from 9-10 December 2022. There he met with the settlement officer Gelek Jungney, representatives of the cooperative, AEO, and the camp leaders. During the visit, he inspected various ongoing project sites to make a proper assessment and specifically visited and inspected the recent crop harvesting misfortune that happened to the farmers.

He then visited Hunsur Rabyeling Tibetan settlement from 11 – 12 December 2022. In these two days, he paid a visit to the Gyumey Monastery (Lama Gyuepa), Zonkar Choedey monastery and Ogyeling monastery. Thereafter, he inspected the road and housing projects within the settlements. A meeting was held with the Sakhang committee along with the community leaders to introduce the reviewed Sakhang guidelines for proper implementation. Later, he inspected the farmers’ field to examine its prevailing condition and to see the various agricultural activities. He then visited the Mundgod Old People Home under the care of Home Department and met with the elderlies and the staff to examine its overall prevailing condition. After wrapping up the visit in Hunsur, he left for Lugsam Tibetan settlement.
