On 5th august 2020, sanitizers and face masks were distributed to the people of scattered communities under Tibetan settlement offices of Darjeeling. The settlement office has sought help from Home Department to solve the problems faced by few distressed families due to the current lock-down situation.
Due to the continued pandemic situation, face mask, PPE kits were distributed to the scattered communities of Kharshang, Sakya Kunga shedupling, Dilaram and Gum Sakya monastery. With the kind support from American Himalayan foundation, a relief of INR 2000 was distributed to the 2 distressed residents in the settlement. A total relief of INR 5000 was given to an elderly member to help her out of the difficult situation.


On 19th may 2020, meeting was held with the members of handicraft society regarding the preventive measures of COVID-19 and consequently two rooms were prepared to be used as quarantine centre.
Dry ration worth INR 26000 was distributed to 13 distressed donated by the American Himalayan foundation. As per the directive from Health Department, sanitization was successfully carried out on 24th may 2020.
