Project Description & Progress:
The project focused on the construction of a proper drainage system in Dickyi larso Village 5 to improve stormwater management and prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season .
This activities included excavation of drainage channels, laying concrete drains, construction of connecting outlets, site leveling, and final finishing to ensure effective water flow throughout the village.
BEFORE
The entire population of Village 5 benefited from the newly constructed drainage system, improving sanitation, safety, and overall living conditions for all residents regardless of gender.
AFTER
The major highlight of the project was the successful completion of a durable drainage network before the peak rainy season, significantly reducing water stagnation, improving public hygiene, and minimizing damage to roads and nearby residential areas.
The community expressed sincere gratitude for making this essential infrastructure project possible.
The project was a collaborative effort between the CTA home department , local community leadership and The Tibet Fund (TTF), which provided critical financial support of RS 8,70,000/-
