ATWS, Dharamsala, 31 August 2026: The closing ceremony of the 25th Tibetan Cooperatives Annual Conference was held at Administrative Training & Welfare Society, bringing together representatives from 15 cooperative societies from to reflect on the outcomes of their discussions and explore ways to strengthen the administration and functioning of the cooperatives.

Kalon Palden Dhondup of the Department of Home attended the ceremony as Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the need for greater teamwork and coordination among staff, particularly under the guidance and leadership of the Cooperative Secretary. He stressed that the Secretariat should take on the core responsibility of steering the societies efficiently and effectively, while supporting their sustainable growth and development.

The Home Kalon further encouraged all members and staff to work together with a shared sense of responsibility and commitment to strengthen the cooperative movement and ensure its continued progress. He reminded participants that when people work together as a team, their collective efforts can create meaningful changes and contribute to the growth and betterment of society.

As part of the ceremony, Home Kalon Palden Dhondup presented awards to some of the best-performing societies in recognition of their remarkable achievements and contributions over the year.

During the programme, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India, presented and shared the key resolutions of the meetings, highlighting the importance of collective participation, cooperation, and shared responsibility in the effective administration of the societies.
