Youth Empowerment Support (YES+) – July 2026 Activity Highlights
The Youth Empowerment Support (YES+) Section of the Department of Home, CTA, successfully commenced the AWS re/Start Cloud Computing Training Programme on 20th July 2026 at the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE), Bengaluru, in collaboration with Cultus Education and DLIHE. The 12-week intensive training programme has enrolled 15 Tibetan youth, equipping them with industry-relevant cloud computing skills, professional development, and career readiness to enhance their employment opportunities in the IT sector.
Key Activities
19th July 2026 – Interaction with YES+ and SDS Beneficiaries
Prior to the commencement of the training, the YES+ team conducted a meeting and interaction session with beneficiaries of the YES+ and SDS program. The session provided an opportunity to discuss the objectives of the training, address participants’ queries, and encourage them as they embark on their professional development journey.
20 July 2026 – AWS re/Start ProgramInauguration
The AWS re/Start training program was officially inaugurated at DLIHE. The program reflects the Department of Home’s continued commitment to empowering Tibetan youth with high-demand digital skills through strategic partnerships with leading educational institutions.
21 July 2026 – Visit to Tibetan Career Centre (TCC), Dharamshala
The YES+ team also visited the Tibetan Career Centre (TCC),  bylakuppe to monito program  and, to interact with entrepreneurs receiving Start-up Business Support. The visit focused on reviewing the progress of supported businesses, understanding the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, and discussing ways to strengthen entrepreneurship initiatives within the Tibetan community.
