Shimla-based Chief Representative Officer, Mr. Lhakpa Tsering, on 5 June 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare Department and Health Department of Himachal Pradesh Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, and apprised him of Monasteries infrastructure and concerns faced in Himachal Pradesh on behalf of Department of Religion.
During the meeting, Mr. Lhakpa Tsering sought the continued support and cooperation of the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the welfare of the Tibetan community. As a gesture of goodwill, Tsering presented the a Buddha Thangka to the Hon’ble Minister.
In response, the Hon’ble Minister assured his support and stated that appropriate assistance would be provided as required.
