
Hunsur Rabgyaling, April 7 – Additional Secretary Mrs. Tsering Youdon, accompanied by dealing staff Ms. Ngawang Dolkar, conducted an official visit to Hunsur Rabgyaling Settlement, arriving at 11:30 a.m. The delegation was received by the heads of the settlement’s organizations.

A meeting was held with representatives of the settlement organizations, during which key challenges and future development plans were discussed.


During the visit, Mrs. Tsering Youdon inspected the Old People’s Home (OPH), reviewing its overall condition and interacting with the residents. The facility currently accommodates 13 elderly residents and is supported by a staff of four.


The officials also visited the settlement farm alongside Agricultural Extension Officer Mr. Dorjee Wangchuk and ORTC Director Mr. Tsewang. The farm cultivates a range of crops, including coconut, citrus fruits, and avocado.

In addition, the delegation reviewed completed projects under the financial year 2025–2026, including the construction of a community hall, village drainage systems, internal roads, roofing works, and the installation of solar street lighting, among others. The BBCC plotting area was also inspected.



Mrs. Tsering Youdon met with local settlers and highlighted the benefits of the Youth Empowerment Support (YES+) program. She encouraged parents to support their children in accessing skill development opportunities, emphasizing the importance of enabling youth to grow and realize their potential.


The team further visited proposed sites for upcoming projects for the financial year 2026–2027, accompanied by the Settlement Officer and the settlement accountant.

The official tour of Hunsur Rabgyaling concluded on April 8, after which the delegation departed for Bylakuppe Lugsum Settlement.
