On 22nd September, immediately following the audience with His Holiness arranged by TIPA, our esteemed supporter Mrs. Heide Meyer, accompanied by Miss Christine, an architect from Germany, and two architects from Mumbai, visited the Jampaling Old Age Home administered by the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).

The purpose of the visit was to review a project funded by GAT. The delegation also inspected the completed installation of CGI sheets on the prayer hall and the rainwater harvesting system. They expressed satisfaction with the quality and implementation of the project.

The visit further included a productive discussion with the Additional Secretary, the dealing staff of the Old Age Home, and representatives from GAT. During the meeting, upcoming project proposals for the renovation of the Old Age Home were also discussed.

Program was followed by a brief exchange of thoughts and clarification of queries with the delegation during the serving of tea.

In the afternoon, a farewell luncheon was held in honour of the visiting dignitary and her delegation at Chonor House, hosted by the Home Department.

The event was attended by the Additional Secretary and dealing staffs. As a gesture of appreciation, the department presented them with a CTA’s Ghoton souvenir box and a ceremonial scarf, symbolizing gratitude for the support and dedication extended to the Tibetan community.
