1. Introduction

We are pleased to report the successful completion of the fencing construction project at Jangthang Nyoma. The project was initiated to enhance the safety, security, and organization of the designated area, ensuring proper demarcation of land and preventing unwanted intrusion, especially in a nomadic and livestock-dependent region like Jangthang.

 

2. Project Objective

The primary objectives of the fencing project were to:

· Construct a durable and well-aligned fence covering a total length of 1000 running feet.

· Provide safety and boundary protection for the community assets and grazing zones.

· Support land protection and organized space management for nomadic residents.

 

3. Implementation and Execution

The fencing work was effectively carried out by Shri Tenzin Choden, a skilled local contractor known for his professionalism and quality-driven work ethic. The entire project was implemented in close coordination with the Jangthang Nyoma Group Leader, whose unwavering support and leadership were key to the smooth progress and timely completion of the project.

Key highlights of the construction:

· Strong and weather-resistant materials were used to withstand high-altitude climate conditions.

· Proper alignment and reinforcement ensured structural stability across the entire fenced perimeter.

· All safety protocols were followed during installation to avoid any hazards or future maintenance issues.

 

4. Community Participation

This project is a testimony to the united spirit of the Jangthang Nyoma community. The Group Leader played a vital role in facilitating on-ground coordination, assisting with logistics, and supervising the progress. The local residents actively supported the initiative, helping in transportation, labour assistance, and encouraging transparent communication throughout the process.

 

5. Outcome and Benefits

· A well-constructed and secure fence now protects the designated area, benefiting both community infrastructure and livestock safety.

· The fencing helps prevent encroachment and intrusion, allowing better land use planning and communal organization.

· This project enhances the long-term sustainability of the grazing areas and ensures better resource management for the nomadic families.

 

6. Conclusion

The successful completion of this fencing project is a major achievement for Jangthang Nyoma. The quality execution by Shri Tenzin Choden, along with the dedicated efforts of the Group Leader and strong community support, made this initiative a true success.

We sincerely thank all individuals and community members who contributed towards the completion of this essential project. May this infrastructure continue to benefit and safeguard the land and people of Jangthang Nyoma for many years ahead.
