  1. Introduction

We are pleased to report the successful completion of the Community Kitchen and Store Room construction project at Camp No. 9. This initiative was undertaken to enhance the collective infrastructure of the camp, with the primary aim of supporting community welfare, promoting hygiene, and improving storage capacity for essential goods and food items.

  1. Project Objective

The primary objective of this project was to:

  • Construct a well-equipped and functional community kitchen to serve the needs of camp residents during gatherings, events, and emergencies.
  • Build an adjoining store room to securely store food supplies, cooking utensils, and other community assets.
  1. Implementation and Execution

The construction work was diligently carried out by Shri Konchok Lobzang, an experienced local contractor known for his commitment to quality and timely delivery. The project was implemented in close coordination with the Camp No. 9 Group Leader, whose constant guidance, support, and cooperation ensured smooth execution throughout the construction phase.

Key highlights of the construction:

  • The foundation was laid with proper alignment and reinforcements.
  • High-quality building materials were used to ensure durability and safety.
  • Adequate ventilation, water access, and fire safety measures were incorporated in the kitchen structure.
  • The store room was constructed with sufficient storage capacity and security features.

The Group Leader played an instrumental role in facilitating labour assistance, monitoring progress, and ensuring transparency throughout the process.
