Implementation of BBCC Project Activities in Tibetan Settlement at Mainpat and Bylakuppe

The BBCC Project team members from the Department of Home (CTRC), including Mr. Ngodup Waser (Deputy Secretary), Engineer Tenzin Tenpa, and Architect Wangyal, carried out resettlement project activities in the Tibetan settlement of Mainpat and Bylakuppe from 25th November to 31st December 2024.

From 25th November to 5th December, at Phendeling Tibetan settlement, Mainpat, 54 plots were distributed to the respective beneficiaries out of the 60 plots that had been prepared in August 2024.

From 9th to 25th December, the team conducted land surveys, planning, and plotting work at Dickyi Larsoe Tibetan Settlement, Bylakuppe. This work covered 25 acres of land acquired for the resettlement project and included digging holes, installing mark stones, and numbering plots for distribution. By the end of this phase, a total of 116 housing plots were demarcated and handed over to the Regional Land and Estate Committee of the settlement.

On 26th and 27th December, the team conducted an assessment of agricultural land acquired for the resettlement project in Lugsam Tibetan Settlement, Bylakuppe. They completed preliminary boundary measurements along with other miscellaneous tasks.

The activity was successfully concluded with outstanding cooperation from the Settlement Officers of Phendeling, Dickyi Larsoe, and Lugsam, along with the invaluable support of the Regional Land and Estate Committee, village leaders, AEOs, and other relevant staff of TSOs. Their exceptional assistance and facilitation were instrumental in the successful implementation of the BBCC project activities in their respective settlements.
