PROJECT DESCRIPTION & PROGRESS: – Tibetan Bonpo Settlement is situated in hill area where populate approximately 730 Tibetans are settled in the settlement which included monks, nuns and student. Rest of Tibetan is mainly farming as their occupation and run regular shops and some are seasonal businessman (winter sweater seller)
Any functions are took place in community hall which is built in 2008 and since then there is no activities regarding the renovation or simply no maintenance of community hall though local Tibetan are cleaning hall for time to time. Many years of heavy rainfall has eroded hall ceiling and many cracks are showing from the walls. Therefore project will improve access and stability of the building for longer time.
CONCLUSION: – Renovation of community hall’s rooftop project at Tibetan Bonpo Settlement, Dolanji is a very constructive project for the Community. Especially it is main gathering area and helps our regular meetings for any functions or official functions. Maintaining and stabilizing the community hall is main concern issue and now this project has tremendous achievement for relieving our most concern issue and ensures building stability from heavy rainfall that eroded ceiling and walls. Our people have seen ongoing projects till completion of this project and they are very appreciative to have a good sponsor for ensuring that the home remains a secure and well-maintained place to live.
