Shimla, November 2024 – In a major upgrade to its office infrastructure, the CRO Shimla has successfully acquired four new Lenovo All-in-One desktop computers and an inverter with two batteries, marking a significant boost to its operations and efficiency of CRO Office administration works .
The initiative comes after the CRO Office resumed independent administration in August 2024, following a formal handover from the Department of Homes CTA. Previously, the CRO Office operations were hindered by outdated equipment, including four slow-performing desktops and an unreliable inverter. These issues were causing delays and inefficiencies in daily tasks.
The newly acquired equipment includes:
- Four Lenovo All-in-One desktops (Rs 226,000)
- A 2TB Sandisk SSD (Rs 14,500)
- A Luminous inverter with two batteries (Rs 41,700)
The total cost of the upgrade amounted to Rs 282,200, with generous support from German Aid to Tibetans (GAT) sponsors who made the project possible.
The new equipment has already delivered tangible benefits, improving work efficiency and ensuring uninterrupted operations during power disruptions. The CRO Office has expressed deep gratitude for the support, noting that the timely acquisition has made a significant impact on its productivity.
