Choejor Tibetan Settlement Office
The Choejor Tibetan Settlement Office was officially established on May 3, 2004. In accordance with the democratic principles provided by our constitution, the first Choejor Settlement Officer was elected on February 24, 2004. Since then, the settlement has continued to uphold this democratic process, with the current officer serving as the 7th Settlement Officer. Under our jurisdiction, we provide support in livelihood, education, and healthcare to residents in the following areas: –
Boudha, Jorpati, Chabahil to Sundhari jal, Kopan, Sangho, Bhaktapur, Namo Buddha, Tatopani, Trishuli, and Lumbini.
The Choejor Settlement comprises of : –
* Local Tibetan Assembly
* Settlement office
*Rangdhen Tsokchug
*Two Tibetan schools
(Namgyal Higher Secondary School and Srongtsen Brikuti Boarding School)
*Two Community Health Worker (CHW) clinics
Boudha and Jorpati clinic
*Sherig Pakhang
*Multiple monasteries
*An old age home
*Various associations
As per our official records, the settlement has a total population of 3549, with1724 males and 1,825 females.
