Kalimpong : ROOF TRUSS PROJECT Completion Report

Part B: Project Detail Implementation: 

Tibetan Settlement Office established more than ten years ago during that time roof truss is not in plan. Whole building consists of Tibetan Settlement Office and Kitchen, Guest House and Staff Quarter.  As Kalimpong is situated in a hilly station during harsh monsoon, the building was starting to deteriorate and leaking water. Therefore, the roof truss project budget approved for the financial year 2024-25. 

On 25th July, 2024 committee members were gathered and discussed the Roof Truss Project. Committee members decided to give a lump sum contract base. 

So, as per quotation and tender bid committee unanimously selected contractor Mr. Tshering Dhonden total budget is Rs.6,10,697/- to carry out the roof truss project work of  Tibetan Settlement Office Kalimpong. A legal agreement was signed on 12th August, 2024 between the contractor and the Settlement officer on behalf of TAWS. 

Now the roof truss and drainage system project successfully completed before the 12th November, 2024 as per agreement.  

  •          It reduces water leakage in classroom buildings.
  •          It reduces damages of building 
  •          It maintains neat and clean surrounding 

. Improved Water management 

Conclusion: 

The successful completion of the Roof Truss and Drainage System Project has drastically improved the living conditions of the Tibetan Settlement Office staff. 

 Especially during the monsoon season drainage system helps us storing rain water to solve the problem of water scarcity for certain months. 

Therefore, this office would like to thank TAWS for funding this project and Department of home for your assistance in making this possible. The Maintenance of the roofing will be handle with best of care and under the responsibly of settlement office.
