66th Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day and Prayer Service for Flood Victims in Tibet-Nepal Border Held at Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement, Sataun.

On 2nd September, 2026, the 66th anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day was celebrated at Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement, Sataun. Attended by the Settlement Officer, Local Tibetan Assembly Chairman and members, Monastery teachers and students, the general public, the event started with a traditional ‘Sangsol’.

The speeches of Kashag and Tibetan Parliament was orated by the Settlement Officer and the LTA Chairman respectively. Tibetan sweet rice and butter tea was distributed to all the attendees.

After the official program concluded, a one hour prayer service was held for the recent flood victims in Tibet-Nepal border.
