Tibetan Settlement Officer, Dehradun, meets Uttarakhand Health Minister.

On 22nd April 2026, Jaya Sidhartha Hospital, Dehradun, organised a program thanking doctors for their dedication and sacrifice for others’ wellness. Shri Subodh Uniyal, honourable minister for health, Uttarakhand, was invited as chief guest for the occasion. Tibetan Settlement Officer Tsewang Phuntsok, accompanied by Tenzin Lhawang, director of Dekyiling Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre, and Sonam Lhawang, Dekyiling Chimi, or People’s Representative, attended the program as invited. Tsewang Phuntsok greeted the minister, offering a traditional Tibetan scarf and a book, Voice for the Voiceless, by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and explained about the book. The minister briefly glanced at the photos at the moment.

Tsewang also paid a courtesy call on Dr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, state in charge of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) in Uttarakhand, accompanied by the former chief secretary of Uttarakhand, Shri Subhash Kumar on 17th April 2026. Tsewang requested his support for the Tibetans in Dehradun, and he also offered a traditional Tibetan scarf and the same book.
