On January 21, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Lhakar, Shimla Settlement Officer Mr. Lhakpa Tsering and Office Secretary Mr. Dechen Rabgyal paid an official visit to the Nyingma Dorje Drak Monastery. The delegation was granted an audience with His Eminence the Taklung Tsetrul Yangsi Rinpoche, during which they presented traditional offerings including a Mandala, ceremonial scarves (Khata), honorific curtains (San-yol), sweets, and a copy of the book “Tibet and the Spokesperson of the Tibetan People.”

The primary objective of the visit was to extend New Year greetings and request special prayers (Kyab-juk) for the community’s welfare. Specifically, the officials sought spiritual support for the upcoming General Election to proceed without hindrances and conclude successfully. Additionally, they requested prayers for the spontaneous and obstacle-free resolution of ongoing complexities regarding land documentation, ensuring a smooth administrative year ahead.
