October 18, 2025 – As per their request, 22 members of the Indo-Tibet Friendship Society-Tawang Unit, including the Chairman and Vice Chairman, were granted an audience with His Holiness the great 14^th Dalai Lama.

The Chairman of the Indo-Tibet Friendship Society had submitted a request several months ago through TenzingangTibetan Settlement office, seeking the auspicious opportunity to have an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama by offering Mandala and the Three Supports. Following this request, the Department of Home submitted an application through the Kashag (Cabinet) to the Private Office of Gaden Phodrang, resulting in the granting of this audience.

The Society’s chairman and members arrived Dharamshala on the morning of October 16, 2025. On that occasion, they were received and welcomed by the North-East section head of DoH. On the evening of the 17th, on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration, the Additional Secretary Ms. Tashi Dekyi and North-East section head Mr. Thinley Uma hosted a welcoming dinner for them. During the event, both officials presented each member of the association’s leadership and members with two commemorative souvenirs specially designed to mark His Holiness’s 90^th Birthday.
