Shimla: On 23 April 2025, Secretary Palden Dhondup from the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration, attended a meeting convened by Shri. Prabodh Saxena, Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, regarding the land lease issues faced by the Tibetans in the state.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by several senior officials of the Himachal Pradesh government, including Shri Kamlesh Kumar Pant, Additional Chief Secretary (Forest), Shri Devesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Urban Development), Shri Balwan Chand, Additional Secretary (Revenue), and other relevant officials.<\/p>\n

The meeting also served as a follow-up to the recent visit of the Sikyong Penpa Tsering to Shimla. A thorough discussion was held on matters concerning the renewal of land leases and lease rents for both revenue and forest land. After the discussion, the chairperson decided to forward the cases to the Cabinet for final approval. Furthermore, he instructed officials from the respective departments to submit the required proposals.<\/p>\n

Secretary Palden Dhondup was accompanied by the Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of Shimla, Tsewang Phuntsok, the newly appointed CRO Lhakpa Tsering and Deputy Secretary Ngodup Waser from the Department of Home.<\/p>\n
