\"\"The Project of \u2018Thupten Dhargyeling Temple\u2019s Guest stage\u2019\u2019 of the Kunphenling Tibetan Settlement, Ravangla was initiated on 18th October 2024 and is completed now.<\/p>\n

This project was sponsored and cost shared between Tibet Fund (50 Percent) and Central Tibetan Administration (50 percent) through Dept. of Home, Central Tibetan Administration and the project cost 13,43,500 (Thirteen Lakhs forty-three thousand and five hundred. The Kunphenling Tibetan settlement office and residents are thankful to the Sponsors -Tibet Fund and Central Tibetan Administration for sponsoring this project.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thupten Dhargyeling Temple\u2019s Guest stage\u2019 will be used for various purpose as celebration of Nobel Peace Prize on 10th December, Tibetan Democracy Day, Tibetan Uprising Day, Lhakar on every Wednesday and other religious programs. The stage is beneficial especially during rainy season to held programs.<\/p>\n

At the same time, it will be use to accommodate important people and guest during important programs and events. For instance, birthday of His Holiness The 14th Dalai lama is held at Thupten Dhargyeling Monastery every year. However, there had been problem of accommodating dignitaries, guest, and officials from various department of government of Sikkim during program.<\/p>\n

Hence, residents of settlement had express need for the stage to accommodate guests since there was no space before to accommodate many guests during important programs, events and festivals etc.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Settlement office had sent proposal to Central Tibetan Administration and it was graciously accepted and Guest stage will be using this year to accommodate many dignitaries and guest to celebrate 90th birthday of the His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and to improve relation with local government dignitaries. Guest\u2019s stage will be used for versatile purpose in the Kunphenling Tibetan settlement.<\/p>\n
