\"\"The official handover between the outgoing Settlement Officer Dhondup Tashi and incoming Settlement Officer Tashi Dhundup of the Ladakh Sonamling Tibetan Settlement was successfully completed over two days, from 29 to 30 January 2025.<\/div>\n

On the morning of 31 January 2025, a formal ceremony was held at 10 a.m. at the Settlement Office to mark the official handover. The ceremony was presided over by Additional Secretary Tashi Dekyi, who represented the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Following the handover ceremony, a public meeting was convened at the community hall around 10:30 a.m., presided by Palden Dhondup of the Department of Home. The meeting was attended by Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner Pema Sangpo, along with other dignitaries. The gathering offered Tibetan community members a chance to engage directly with the new Settlement Officer and raise important issues.<\/div>\n
