On 21th<\/sup>\u00a0<\/span>Dec 2023, Mr.Dhondup \u00a0Tashi Chief Representative Officer, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement has inaugurated Jangthang Sumdho community guest room along with 12 members of project committee of Sonamling Tibetan Settlement.<\/p>\n

Since the Sumdho community is considered as second largest populated among nine places of Jangthang. There is no proper guest house to accommodate the official visitors. The aim for the construction of guest house is to welcome official dignities with comfortable stay at the guest room without depending on TCV branch school in Jangthang Sumdho.<\/p>\n

During the first official visit of Hon\u2019ble Sikyong Mr.Penpa Tsering at Jangthang Sumdho. Sumdho people requested for provision of guest house as it was pending project. After visit of Hon\u2019ble Sikyong, Department of Home, CTA has sanctioned the guest house project in year 2022-23, financial year. But due to harsh weather & other reasons the public requested to extend the project for next year. The DOH, CTA has carried forward the project in financial year, 2023-24.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, CRO Mr.Dhondup Tashi, sincerely thanked His Holiness Dalai lama. CRO also thanked Hon\u2019ble Sikyong Mr.Penpa Tsering and entire team of Department of Home, CTA, for unconditionally accepting public request. Also CRO introduced the members of project committee who has work on this project and the CRO requested the beneficiaries to maintain the guest house in near future properly.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Sumdho group leader offered a white thank you scarf to all members of project committee. Special cake (goat cheese cake) is served on this auspicious occasion. LTA member Mr.Karma Rabjor la also thanks for Mr.Karma Namdak, Hon\u2019ble councilor, Jangthang Korzok, LAHDC leh, for sanctioning the RCC Slab for the roof.<\/p>\n

The total budget for this project is\u00a0<\/span>INR 2,770,893.00 (2,216,714 TAWS) and\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>the public contribution from Sumdho community\u00a0<\/span>(554,179).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
