The Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement Office in Odisha addressed a transportation challenge with an aged Bolero vehicle in use for over 9 years, covering more than 130,000 kms. The old and damaged vehicle required frequent, costly repairs and maintenance. Seeking a solution, the Department of Home CTA, Dharamshala, approached the German Aid to Tibetans (GAT) for financial assistance in acquiring a new office vehicle. The GAT Association generously funded Rs. 12,77,000, showcasing their enduring support for the Tibetan government in exile.<\/p>\n

In response, TSO Odisha successfully purchased a new Mahindra & Bolero Neo 10 with 7 seats, a proposal outlined in the 2023-24 budget and approved in April 2023. The total cost of the new office vehicle acquisition amounted to INR. 12,77,000, executed within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n

Post-purchase, the Mahindra & Bolero Neo 10 has demonstrated smooth operation, facilitating timely completion of office tasks. This has been particularly advantageous during official delegations and dignitary visits to Odisha Settlement, contributing significantly to time and cost savings. The Department of Home CTA expresses deep gratitude to the GAT Association and all donors, acknowledging their financial assistance as indispensable to the project\u2019s success.
