\n1. His Excellency the Ambassador of France to India, Mr. Thierry Mathou,
\naccompanied by his wife, Mrs. C\u00e9cile Mathou, paid a courtesy and pilgrimage
\nvisit to Sera Jey Monastery, Namdroling Monastery, and Tashi Lhunpo
\nMonastery in Bylakuppe on 22 July 2026. His Excellency was accompanied by
\nthe Consul General of France in Bengaluru, Mr. Marc Lamy.
\n2. During the visit, Mr. Jigmey Tsultrim, Chief Representative Officer (CRO),
\nSouth Zone, accompanied the distinguished guests throughout the programme. At
\neach monastery, the delegation was warmly received by the respective Abbots, Tulkus,
\nand monastic representatives. The Abbots of Sera Jey Monastery, Namdroling
\nMonastery, and Tashi Lhunpo Monastery extended their greetings and welcomed the
\nAmbassador, the Consul General, and the accompanying members of the
\nFrench Consulate in Bengaluru.
\n3. The visit provided an opportunity for the distinguished guests to pay their
\nrespects at the monasteries and gain a deeper understanding of the rich religious,
\ncultural, and spiritual heritage of the Tibetan community in Bylakuppe, which is
\ndeeply rooted in the ancient Indian Wisdom of Buddhist Philosophy and Science.
\n4. Upon the completion of the visit, the Ambassador Consul General of France, his
\nwife and the accompanying delegation departed from Bylakuppe on the same day. They
\nwere seen off by Mr. Jigmey Tsultrim, Chief Representative Officer (CRO), South Zone.<\/p>\n
