Date: July 10, 2026: On the morning of July 10, a delegation led by Mr. Jigme Tsultrim, Chief Representative Officer (CRO), South Zone, accompanied by His Eminence Khen Rinpoche of Gomang Monastery, the Gangjong Opera Troupe and Mr. Tenzin Thakpo of RDTS, visited VET (Vasavi Educational Trust), College. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dr. R Parvathi Principal & Academic Director; Prof. Narayanswamy SG, Vice Principal; Sh.Ashok Kumar, Faculty Members and Mr. Gopi Krishnan from ITFS.<\/p>\n

During the program, Mr. Jigme Tsultrim briefly highlighted the centuries-old relationship between Tibet and India. His Eminence Khen Rinpoche shared his personal journey\u2014born in Tibet and educated at Gomang Monastery\u2014and emphasized the profound relevance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama\u2019s four commitments in today\u2019s world, underscoring the importance of cultivating good character through words and actions.<\/p>\n

The Gangjong Opera Troupe presented a vibrant cultural performance showcasing Tibet\u2019s rich artistic heritage, with the Yak dance being a particular highlight.<\/p>\n

Mr. Tenzin Thakpo of RDTS addressed the students on the pressing issue of water mismanagement. He urged them to be mindful in their usage of water and stressed the importance of the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. He encouraged students to spread this awareness further to promote water conservation.<\/p>\n

Dr. R Parvathi, Principal & Academic Director of VET College, concluded the program with a vote of thanks to the CRO-led delegation for the meaningful cultural exchange. She expressed openness to hosting similar engagements in the future, reinforcing the theme of exchange, culture, compassion, and sustainability. Before the delegation was bid farewell Sh.Manandi N Suresh Hon. Secretary received the delegation at his personal chamber and affirmed of more engagements to foster the existing relation amongst the Institution and Tibetan Communities in exile.<\/p>\n
