Gondia: On Thursday, 28 May 2026, the newly appointed Additional Collector of Gondia District, Shri Abhijit Bhalchandra Ghorpade, was formally received by a delegation of local Tibetan officials.<\/p>\n

The delegation, which included Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa, Local Assembly Officer Lobsang Donnyod, and the office secretary, paid a courtesy call on the Additional Collector to offer their congratulations on his new appointment.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the officials provided Shri Ghorpade with a brief overview of the Bhandara Tibetan Settlement and brought several pressing issues faced by the community to his attention.<\/p>\n

As a token of their appreciation and respect, the delegation presented the Additional Collector with a traditional Tibetan Thangka painting of the Buddha and a copy of the book\u00a0<\/span>\u2018The Voice for the Vioceless\u2019<\/i>, authored by His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.<\/p>\n
