Project Title: Debris Clearing Earth Work Excavation Project Funded By: The Tibet Fund via Central Tibetan Relief Committee (CTRC), Dharamsala Project Location: Dickeyling Tibetan Settlement, Samahan, Manali Project Total Cost: Rs.17,50,000\/- Beneficiary Contribution: Rs.7,00,000\/- Project Duration: Starting Date: 12th February 2026, Completion Date: 25th March, 2026<\/p>\n

PROJECT DESCRIPTION & PROGRESS:<\/p>\n

The Debris Clearing Earth Work Excavation Project at Samahan Manali Dickeyling Tibetan Settlement was approved in the 2025-2026 financial year with the help of generous and timely fund assistance from The Tibet Fund. The project commenced on 12th February 2026 with a total budget for the project is Rs: 17,50,000\/- out of which Rs.7,00,000\/- was borne by stake holders (beneficiary Contribution) and remaining amount Rs. 10,50,000\/- was funded by the TTF via Central Tibetan Relief Committee (CTRC), Department of Home. With the approval, the project committee consisting of seven members passed a resolution to commence the work and has mutually decided to appoint contractor Chandan Premi to carry out the project based on his lowest tender submission. A legal agreement was signed between the contractor and Settlement officer on behalf of CTRC.<\/p>\n

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:<\/p>\n

The primary objective of debris clearance is to mitigate the difficulties faced by households affected by the severe landslide. The work area is among the worst-affected locations, where substantial damage has occurred due to the landslide. Complete removal of the debris will facilitate timely repair of damaged houses and restore safe and easy access to residential entrances for the affected families.<\/p>\n

CONCLUSION:<\/p>\n

The Debris Clearing Earth Work Excavation Project at Samahan, Manali Dickeyling Tibetan Settlement has been very helpful for those whose properties were most affected by the landslide. It has improved access to pathways for all residents and has also helped in removing mosquito breeding grounds and reducing the risk of diseases. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to TTF for financing and CTRC for coordinating this project.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
